Description
Dihexa (PNB-0408) is a synthetic hexapeptide analog of angiotensin IV developed at Washington State University. It functions as an HGF superagonist. As such, it binds directly to hepatocyte growth factor and stabilizes its interaction with the c-Met receptor tyrosine kinase at picomolar concentrations. Downstream HGF/c-Met activation drives PI3K/Akt, MAPK/ERK, and STAT3 signaling cascades studied in the context of synaptogenesis, dendritic spine formation, and neuronal survival in preclinical CNS models. Its compact molecular structure and documented blood-brain barrier penetration make the oral capsule format appropriate for CNS signaling research through enteral delivery.
Storage and Handling
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use. For analytical use requiring dissolved compound, remove capsule contents and dissolve in an appropriate laboratory solvent.
